Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Appcitor (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Pocketa mobile app for iOS and Android. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Pocketa on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, resell, rent or redistribute the app
- Reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law expressly allows
- Remove, block or interfere with advertising shown in the app
- Use the app for anything unlawful
Your data is your responsibility
Pocketa stores your data only on your device. We keep no copy and cannot recover it for you.
- If you lose your device, uninstall the app, reset it, or forget your app lock PIN or a backup passphrase, your data may be lost permanently.
- You are responsible for creating backups and for keeping your device, backups and passphrases secure.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter or import.
Not financial advice
Pocketa is a record-keeping and planning tool. Budgets, forecasts, insights, safe to spend figures, debt payoff plans and currency conversions are estimates calculated from the data you enter and from exchange rates that may be out of date. They are provided for information only and are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Check important figures yourself and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
Advertising and third parties
The app is free and displays ads provided by Google AdMob. We do not control or endorse the content of those ads, and your dealings with any advertiser are between you and them. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
App stores
If you downloaded Pocketa from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must also follow that store’s terms. These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Neither is responsible for the app or obliged to provide support for it, and each may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary where its own rules require.
Ownership
The app, including its design, code, name and logo, belongs to Appcitor and is protected by intellectual property laws. The data you enter belongs to you.
Updates and availability
We may update the app to add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering it at any time. Because your data lives on your device, the copy you have installed continues to hold your data, and you can export it whenever you wish.
Disclaimer of warranties
Pocketa is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that its calculations will be correct in every case.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Appcitor is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, money or profits, arising from your use of the app or reliance on its figures. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
Termination
You can stop using Pocketa at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Appcitor is established. Any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live continue to apply.
